What can I say? I’m so happy right now and I hope it continues for a long time. I’ve been depressed the past year and I didn’t even know it. But now that I’m actually happy, I can see it. I guess things are finally turning out for the better and it’s probably because of this job I’ve got with Safeway.

This job is really something boy, I tell you what. I can’t stress enough how great it is to not have to deal with people all day. The last few jobs I had, aside from installing carpet and laminate flooring, I had to deal with customers all day. Fuck that shit man, people can be fuckin’ rude as hell. But no matter what, you’ve always got to smile and that’s the shitty part. Take this for instance, when I worked for Subway, I was taking this man’s order. He was asking for one sandwich but he requested two different sandwiches. I said, “Would you like both sandwiches, or just one of them?” The man got flustered as all hell when I said that. I guess he thought I was making fun of him or something, but he replied, “Look guy, just make my fuckin’ sandwich! I don’t want two, I just want one!” I tried explaining to him that he was asking for two different sandwiches instead of one, but he wasn’t hearing it.. so he fuckin’ swung at me. The man tried to hit me from the other side of the counter! Can you believe that shit?

That’s what I mean.. I’m so fuckin’ happy for the job I’ve got now. It’s so laid back and mellow. All I have to do is stock shelves. No ruddy customers to greet, no nothing! Ahh.. this is the life. And it’s only going to get better from here on. I’m not going to make the same stupid mistakes I did a couple years ago. This time, I’ve got a game plan and I’m going to stick to it. Heh. I’ll be back in school in no time! Wish me luck people.

It sure is a great day to be alive. Want to know why? Well, I’ll tell you my strapping young friend! Yesterday I recieved two phone calls while I was out and about looking for a job. One phone call was from Wal-Mart and the other one was from Safeway. They both called me to request an interview with me for today! Yes, I know, isn’t it grand? What a day to be alive.

But that’s not all! I just got back from my interview with Safeway and it looks like I’m the man for the job! Wo0t! Thank you, thank you! You may stop screaming now. I mean, I was lookin’ sharp as hell, boy. I got my hair cut, I shaved my goatee completely off (yes I know, I miss it too), I bought a long sleeved collared shirt with a matching tie and everything that comes with it. I mean it, I was lookin’ sharp! My mother was pokin’ fun at me, but what the hell does she know anyway?

As long as I pass the drug test with Safeway (which I know I will) I’m starting next weekend! The lady, her name was Elaine, who interviewed me told me what the job was going to be and she drug tested me right there on the spot. She said I was hired right when she looked at my application! I find out if I passed the drug test come Monday. When I start, I’ll be working Graveyard shift and I’ll be starting at $9 an hour. I know, it’s so great, right? Finally, all my hard work paid off. Now I’m going to be working hard for my money!

I’m still going to the Wal-Mart interview tonight at 6:30 pm. Wish me luck! Maybe I’ll get that job too and I can work both jobs at the same time. Man oh man, am I excited as hell right now. I’ll take some pictures of myself tonight when I get all dressed up again and post them for you guys. Go ahead and laugh at me when you see them; I won’t care because I know I was lookin’ smooth as fuck.
